A product called " refining furnace transformer " recently developed by a company. In principle, its maximum capacity and voltage can be compared with existing oil-immersed transformers. The entire coil is made of a ready-made cross-linked cable, and the voltage level of the cross-linked cable is the voltage level of the transformer. The winding skeleton can be made of steel, so it overcomes the difficulty that the insulating structural parts often have to bear the mechanical force of the transformer. In fact, the insulating structural parts are just the weakest link with the worst mechanical strength. It cannot adjust the tap voltage of the transformer with coil taps like ordinary transformers.
At present, only all transformers in China have passed three special tests that meet the highest standards of F1 fire resistance, E2 adaptability to the environment and C2 thermal shock resistance in the European independent laboratory of CESI in Italy. These three special tests have been included in the 2000 version of the IEC60076.11 international standard and will also be included in China's precision welding furnace transformer standards in the future. Since the raw materials of such transformers are basically imported, the cost of the product will be slightly higher.
The development of various types of transformers in China has the highest performance and cost-effectiveness, and the market is very broad and the development is rapid, which makes it well established in China.
The development of rectifier transformers can adopt an encapsulated structure. This structure is more compact, smaller, lighter, and has lower losses. It is especially suitable for manufacturing small-capacity box-type substations. The development of electroslag furnace transformers is also very promising. It has very low no-load losses. As long as its price is controlled within 1.5 times the price of ordinary transformers, it is economical. However, the development of such transformers must not only be considered from the perspective of economics, but also from the perspective of saving energy and reducing environmental damage.
